Getting sick is always not an easy thing to be happy about. The cost of medicine alone is very high. Not having medical insurance is another that place a big burden to us. That is why my husband and I are still looking forward with Pres. Obama's health plan to materialize. We are both diabetic and 'though we have medical or health insurance at my husband's work, we still need to pay at least $500 a month! I am now looking for a possible treatment that will help us with our diabetes problem.

Good thing there that is C'elle who have come along way and have invented a possible cure for diabetes. Stems cells found in cord blood are known to treat over 75 diseases including leukemia, anemia, lymphoma, diabetes and cerebral palsy, and it also empowers women to collect and cryopreserve menstrual flow that can be used to treat several illnesses like breast cancer, heart disease and other serious diseases. Do you know that Cord blood stem cells are 100% match for the infant donor and 1 in 4 match for a sibling. And as I mentioned before, cryo-cell is offering a special discount for expectant families to store their baby's cord blood. That way you and your baby's future is protected. For a limited time, now 6/28/09, families can save $725 on Cryo-Cell's U-Cord service using the promotional code HOT on Cryo-Cell's U-Cord service. Interested? Amazing Summer Vacation in Branson!

If you and your family are looking for a great place to go this summer, why not try going to the beautiful state of Missouri? The most popular there is Branson. It is the most sought after travel destination for a family vacation. There are great events that are going on this summer the whole family can enjoy such as The Father's Day Salute, National Kid's Fest at Silver Dollar City, the 10th Annual Clown Jam, Live Entertainment, theater, and more. These events alone are amazing! I would really love to spend one of our summer vacation there someday. What about you? Make up your mind and book your reservation now! There are two very famous hotels where you and your family could stay, the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing or the other one which is Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel. Both of these hotels have the great amenities and are both located right at the heart of the downtown Branson.

The fact that these hotels offer restaurants, shops, boutiques, a river walk and more, I'd say, I can call them a home away from home even for a short time. My husband and son could spend a day playing golf at the new Payne Stewart Golf Club which happened to be managed by Hilton itself! Enjoy the breathtaking views when in golf course or when taking a walk along the river. Isn't it amazing? Right now, you can avail yourself with their special offers and packages. What are you waiting for? Click the links provided here now!

Summer Memories

Celebrate the art of photography this summer by taking some of your best photos ever.

Taking pictures like the pros is what we all aspire to, but it can be really frustrating when our pictures don't look anything like the ones in magazines. So to boost your confidence as a photographer, here are a few general guidelines for taking a fantastic photo. Source: LDS Living

Go by the rule of thirds. Divide your photo into thirds both horizontally and vertically - the subject should usually be placed near the intersecting lines.

Lighting is key. The best times of the day for outside photography are dawn and dusk, when lighting is softer. Try to avoid pictures in the middle of the day, as the lighting is harsh and will wash out your subject. Cloudy days work best.

The flash is your friend. Most people use the flash only while indoors. In reality, using the flash outdoors will help diminish shadows.

Experiment with angles. Add some dynamics to your photo by tilting the camera at a 30 degree angle. This technique looks especially good in action photos.

Get close. Move to an equal plane with whatever you're photographing. For a bold image, move in close and fill the whole screen with the subject. It's a great way to capture an image from a whole new perspective.

Children Summer Reading

As parent, one of the challenges I face during summertime is how to entertain my son for at least two and a half months. I have so much things on my mind and it is overwhelming. He is still too young to read a book since he is barely five year old. He cannot read yet, but he loves books. A day will never pass without me reading a book with him. I read different kinds of books, from his favorite bible stories to his favorite cartoons characters. I want to instill on his mind positive attitude and its importance as he grows up.

It is good to know that there is a book out there that I can read to him that teaches this kind of thing to my son. Since my son started watching fantasy video, I am pretty sure he will have the fun listening while I read Chin and the Magic Stones to him. And as the author of the book said: And I quote: “Through this delightful tale children can learn that if they trust themselves, visualize positive outcomes, and keep a positive attitude the results can be most unexpected, positive, and satisfying”; isn't it great?

I, myself would like to read this book; will surely bought a copy for the whole family to read and learn. When I went to the site, I read a lot of nice and positive things about this book and that is enough why it should be included in our collection of good books. If you want a copy of this book for your family, go to amazon.com; and for more detail, you should visit www.chinandthemagicstones.com.

Cryo-Cell on Facebook and Twitter!

I am pretty sure that many people have heard about C'elle already. Why do you think I said it? It is because you can read all about Cryo-Cell on Twitter. And all they said about it are positive and encouraging. I do know that it can help cure some of the life threatening diseases such as Heart Disease, Breast Cancer, Diabetes, Stroke and Vascular Regeneration? Yes, you read it right! I was very glad to have known this because I have been searching for a medicine to treat diabetes. My husband and I are both diabetic. I got it after I get a kidney transplant, while my husband was just diagnosed recently. It is very scary to have this kind of disease and not knowing if there is a cure for it. But what is C'elle, by the way? C'elle is an exclusive and revolutionary research that allows women to collect and preserve their very own menstrual stem cells. According to the experts, these cells are unique for they have many properties and characteristics similar to bone marrow and embryonic cells. They are known to treat over 75 life threatening diseases like leukemia, anemia, lymphoma, diabetes and cerebral palsy to name some. Isn't this a good news? If you and the one you love have any of the said disease you must consider purchasing a kit. The kit has everything you need to collect and sent the menstrual stem cells collected. Right now, for a limited time, Cryo-Cell is offering an affordable way to protect your future. You can save $200 if you use the Promo Code CN200. Hurry, for this promo won't last! To get more updates about this revolutionary research, read discussions about it at Cryo-Cell on Facebook.

Quiz: What's Your Discipline Style?

I took this test from American Baby.com/Parents.com and this the result:

You're a Moderate Mom

You pay attention to the parenting books -- and you cut your kids some much-needed slack when necessary. Here are some ways to encourage even better behavior. 1. Let them help. Little kids are more likely to be cooperative when they feel as if they're part of the game. If your toddler is underfoot while you're preparing dinner, have him fold some napkins and place them on the table. 2. Foster empathy. A child who understands that others have feelings similar to his own will learn to treat people the way he wants to be treated. If a sibling has a cold, you could say, "Emily feels bad because she has a cold. What can we do to make her feel better?" 3. Be kind. Kids copy everything you do, and they want to be just like you. Small acts of kindness -- an extra smile for the mailman, or holding the door for someone -- will inspire your child to do the same.

If you want to try this test, just click here.

Father's Day Celebration at Branson!

Father's Day will be celebrated this Sunday. Going to church is definitely on the plan. Aside from that I don't have any plan yet, but invite our Filipino friends over for lunch or dinner as my husband requests. I will definitely do that. I also need to do some shopping for that day tomorrow while he is asleep. Saturday on the other hand will be a dinner date for us. How about you? What's your plan for Father's Day? How about a weekend getaway at Branson, Missouri? This is a great place for the entire family to have the fun and enjoyment. Playing golf at new Payne Stewart Golf Club would be a perfect treat for fathers, followed by a dinner date in one of the many restaurants in town. I am sure the kids will have so much fun at the National Kid's Fest at Silver Dollar City. On Sunday, it would be nice to bring fathers to Father's Day Salute for this special day. Then, what about taking Dad's on the 49 live entertainment? After all the activities and excitements, a stay in either of the two famous hotel would be great! Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing and the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel are located at in the heart of the entertainment capital and are famous for their exceptional services, luxury bedrooms and suites and more. Guests have access with all shops, boutiques, restaurants, and a river walk. So what are you waiting for? Book you reservation now by calling 1417-336-5500 or 1417-336-5400 or through their website.

June is "Fresh Fruit and Vegetables Month"

To all veggie lovers, good news for you. Here are some ways to add more fruits and vegetables to your everyday meals.

Start the day off right with a glass of 100% fruit or vegetable juice. You also might try storing chopped fruit in a blender pitcher every night and then quickly buzzing it into a smoothie in the morning. Then, top your cereal with sliced bananas or strawberries, or whole blueberries.

Add a salad to your lunch and enjoy carrot sticks as an afternoon snack. A sliced apple with two tablespoons of peanut butter is also a delicious way to get fresh fruit and protein at the same time.

Store fruit and vegetables at eye-level in the fridge, or in a bowl on the table. You'll be more likely to eat something if you can easily access it.

Buy only seasonal fruits and veggies! It will help decrease the cost that fresh produce can incur, and they'll be sweet and ripe. Some of the best summer fruits are cherries, peaches, nectarines, blueberries, plums, and watermelon. Great summer veggies include corn, green beans, tomatoes, and zucchini.

Find Local Events in Your Area through Nickelodeon Widget

One challenge I face during summer is keeping my son busy. I need to come up with many activities to make our time productive instead of letting computer and television baby sit him. We go to library, museums, park or mall's playplace, and tutor him. I couldn't wait till he is a little bit older enough to go to local summer camps like my friend kids.

Page_block_dscf4879-20071001-203245

I have found a way to keep my son busy through Summer Camps widget from Nickelodeon. Here parents can check out local events by using zip code. All you have to do is enter your zip code and then, it will show you all the fun activities your entire family will enjoy. Why don't you try it? I assure you, there will be activities for you and your kids there. I actually found The Heard Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary where kids and adults alike will enjoy Native Butterflies in Texas. I will definitely invite my friends to join us watch the movie at Harkins Theatres' Southlake 14 cinemaplex where they are hosting a series of G- and PG-rated family movies during the summer. The season tickets can be purchased in advance for $5 for up to 10 movies or single-movie tickets can be purchased for $2 at the door. Each week features a different movie; this week's showing is Horton Hears a Who. My son and I will surely going to have the fun watching this movie. One thing I like about this website is that they have a contest where me and my friends can join and possibly win! What are you waiting for? Give Parents Connect a try now and be amazed of how much activities they offer just in the local area where you live.

Are You Prejudiced?

You Are Not Prejudiced

Not only are you color blind, but you're also ethnicity blind, gender blind, and sexual orientation blind.

You don't judge someone until you truly know them. And even then, you're probably reluctant to judge.

You try to treat everyone equally. Everyone has a fair chance with you.

Good job - there's not a prejudiced bone in your body.

My Dream Rustic Furniture

My husband and I are very picky when it comes to furniture. We both like new ones if we can help it. Just last week we bought a leather couch with matching chair for a very reasonable price. We like the couch because it will definitely last longer than the living room set we bought three years ago which is made of fabric. Matt and I loves rustic furniture because we both love nature and would like to live in country someday. Having this type of furniture home allows us to enjoy the beauty of nature in the comfort of your own home. Scenicfurniture.com has many selections of beautiful furniture and I am pretty sure you will like their rustic furniture. Visit their website and fall in love with their furniture.

Branson, Perfect Summer Vacation for Everyone!

Summertime is here, and if you are looking for a great place to take your family for a vacation, you should try Branson, Missouri. I have heard a lot of nice things about this place thru friends who have been there as well as those who actually live near Branson. This place is located in the Midwest and is called the entertainment capital of the state. While there, what a better place to stay and enjoy the two famous hotels; the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing and the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel after enjoying some of the summer activities going on like the Father's Day Salute, the 10th Annual Clown Jam, the National Kid’s Fest at Silver Dollar City which my son would really enjoy, the 10th Annual Clown Jam, live entertainment, theaters and more. Take a look at one of the rooms both of these hotels offer.

These hotels are are within easy driving distance of Branson’s championship golf courses, lakes, museums, theme parks and 49 live entertainment theaters. This is indeed a perfect an exciting summer vacation for everyone to enjoy! I would really love to go and enjoy terrific shopping, dining, boutiques, and a river walk. You better check their website or click the link for many more attractions aside from what I have mentioned here.
