Saturday 9: I Think Were Alone Now!

Posted by Cecile at Saturday, January 23, 2010 2 comments

Welcome to Saturday: 9 . What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

mommy moments

Being a full time wife and mother, I get to see my son grow each day. I love that when he gets home from school, I never fail to hear him asks his Daddy: Where is Mommy, Daddy? He knows that mother should be home for him and Daddy. I know he loves me even though he always wants to play and hang out with Daddy when hubby is home and off from work :-). Anyway, It is good to know that I am not missing a single thing pertaining to my son milestones, what's his fave thing to and his fave toys or fave t.v. shows, foods and etc...Here is my entry for this week's Mommy Moments theme: "New Favorite." Yup, he is in to Transformers now!

He got this autobot from his Tita Jubie for Christmas...
...the biggest one was from Daddy (Optimus Prime), and the gray one was from his friend Freddy (no idea how they call this one).
A notebook with Optimus Prime picture on it...and a Transformers DVD movie.

Allison Maslan's Blast Off

Posted by Cecile at Wednesday, January 20, 2010 1 comments
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Allison Maslan, author of "Blast Off!". All opinions are 100% mine.

I used to work a full time job before I got married. I was very with the success I had especially when the company I worked with offered me a chance to go to Japan for a 1 yr training, but due to a very important circumstance, I decided to turned down the offer and I quit my job. After 19 months, I came back from out of town and decided to look for a job. Fortunately, I found jobs and enjoyed working again. But then again, when I got married, my husband and I decided that I should stay at home and care for him and our home. I became a full time wife and eventually a mother. Then 3 years later after our son was born, my husband lost his job; it was the most stressful time of our lives. That is when I realized that I need to do something to find a job so I can help with our finances. Anyway, based on the book that was written by Allison Maslan, a renowned Life and Business Strategist, losing a job is the best thing that could ever happen to a person. The titled of the book is Blast Off! which is available on Amazon. This $24 book will give you plenty of help to succeed in your endeavor in life especially on business. This book was launched just this January 19, 2010 on several of the famous bookstores online such as Amazon, Borders, Barnes and Noble websites. So what are you waiting for? You should get a copy for yourself. I, myself need this wonderful book so I can explore what is in store for me and my family's future!

Teddy is Cold, Mommy!

Posted by Cecile at Tuesday, January 19, 2010 4 comments
I can't think of what to write here on my blog that is why it takes few days or sometimes even week before you will see something here. I think that happens if you owe multiple or more blogs. So while hubby is out dropping Jake off to school I decided to write something hehehe, though I don't think it will make a reader interested to it. Anyway, just want to share with you that my son is getting very creative. Here is a picture of his fave stuffed toy, Teddy. He told me Teddy needs a clothes to keep him warm, so he made a paper clothes and showed it to me :-); i think it's kind of cute!

The other day he made a spaceship uniform for Teddy and pretended that he was on the space with him. I forgot to take a picture of it though.

Mommy Moments: Newborn Days

mommy moments

I had a very difficult pregnancy as well as delivery. We lost our first baby girl (Ruth) to stillborn, and that was the hardest time of our lives. Believe it or not I am still mourning for her and I cry each time I remember her and every time I see a seven year old girl playing. Anyway, We are very grateful that despite of my health problems, God has blessed us with another bundle of joy. Here he is...Jacob, our wonderful baby who brought joys in our lives. He never cease to amaze us everyday. It was a difficult pregnancy and delivery for me...but it was worth the sacrifice.

It was the first time I saw my son...and when I called his name, he smiled at me.
He was born two months early that is why he stayed at NICU for a month just to gain weight. After nearly a month at NICU, he was finally allowed to see me in my room where I was recuperating after my c-section and a follow-up abdominal surgery due to infection.
